Registration Period for All Candidates (subject to availability): 29 October 2020, 9am to 4 November 2020, 6pm

Priority registration for the examination slots in November 2020 will be given to February candidates who have not successfully registered for the September 2020 examination.

Candidates who are eligible for the priority registration and intend to sit for the November examination will have to register between 26 and 28 October 2020, and registration will be on a first-come-first-served basis.

SEAMEO Regional Language Centre (RELC) will be writing directly to these candidates after the October 2020 RES examination to provide them with the registration link and information on registration for the November 2020 examinations.

As announced in June 2020, CEA has extended the RES course certificate validity period by one year for course participants who have completed the RES course on any date from 22 February 2018 to 30 April 2020 (both dates inclusive).

As RELC expects a high demand for the November 2020 RES examination, and with priority given to candidates who were affected by the cancellation of the February 2020 RES examination, RELC seeks the understanding of course participants that they may not be able to accept all applications to register for the November 2020 examination. Candidates who are unsuccessful can register for future examinations with the extension of the validity of the RES course certificate.

The Council for Estate Agencies (CEA) has resumed the conduct of the RES examination in September 2020. Taking into consideration the COVID-19 situation and guidelines from the Multi-Ministry Taskforce, RELC plan to conduct two RES examinations in October and November 2020. RELC will adopt safe management measures to ensure that the examination is held in a safe and controlled manner for all candidates and personnel administering the examination. The safe management measures include the following:

a. A capacity limit of 50 person for each room; b. Maintaining a distance of at least 1.5 metres between candidates; c. Use of Safe Entry system with temperature screening at entrances of premises; d. Staggered timings for reporting and dismissal; e. Wearing of masks throughout the examination; f. Dedicated access to toilets for each zone and staggered toilet usage; and g. Cleaning of rooms and toilets after each examination session.

All candidates are required to adhere to the safe management measures imposed during the examination days.
